OnFire started as a weekly encouragement letter. I had a few ideas for a book, but I never seemed to have the time to work on them, so I started a letter to friends and family. |
OnFire is all about faith and character. I take lessons from biblical characters and passages to talk about living out the Christian faith everyday. |
OnFire is about real life. These are issues I deal with, so I figure that others do also. If I have trouble, and I’m supposed to have the training to deal with them, then others face the same things. |
I’m amazed at the response to OnFire. Many people tell me they forward them. Promise Keepers Canada has picked up a number for their website. Friends use them in their ministry staff meetings. I’ve been asked to write for other publications. |
Thanks for visiting OnFire. I hope it helps you live a life more fully devoted to Jesus Christ. |

This summer is already different from any other summer I've experienced. Ian, our 15-year-old, is working at a Christian camp and has been away for more than a week. This is the longest stretch that he has been away from us and not been with family, and, to be honest, it has made me feel a little unglued. That's my best description for the feeling I've experienced. Kind of like one of the kitchen chairs when it starts to loosen up and needs a little glue. Its still together but it feels a little shaky and uncertain. |
